Made to be understood at a glance.

Reading a speedometer takes attention away from your surroundings. Frenano puts the current speed first: large, clear and easy to find. A simple dial gives a sense of change, while road-limit information stays secondary until it is useful.

These choices are informed by research into how people read driving displays. We also test Frenano on real journeys, examine where GPS and road data become uncertain, and refine what the app shows.

When Frenano cannot confidently identify a road or limit, it says so. Road signs remain the authority.

Frenano is designed to do a small job with as little data collection as practical. It has no user accounts, no advertising, and no user tracking.

No advertising or trackingWe do not use your location or app data for advertising, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Location with a purposeYour location is used to calculate speed and, where available, identify the local road and speed limit.
Diagnostics stay localSupport diagnostics stay on your device and are only shared when you choose to share them.
